"Futuro e Presente Festival"

Rotaliana is amongst the sponsors of: "Futuro e Presente. Festival delle arti contemporanee" which will take place in Rovereto from May 7 to May 10 2009 www.festivalfuturopresente.it.
This year's edition of Futuro e Presente put the focus on cinema, with guests such as Peter Greenaway, and with a film festival showing some of the most representative works realised by the British movie director. There will also be a series of events, and musician like Giovanni Sollima and Michael Nyman will perform concerts.
The festival is about the world of cinema and its ability to describe reality with constantly new languages; it's also about its relation with new technologies and new media; and it shows how the relation between cinema and spectators has evolved. The 2009 edition of Futuro Presente, which will take place in Rovereto (Trentino) this year, is entitled SCREEN, the screens of the future; it will host Peter Greenaway, director of international reputation, and whose cinematographic career and language have always been very personal, unique and creative.
There will also be other events and performances held by other important artists who built impressive and important careers on the relation between their art and cinema and images: Giovanni Sollima will play "Tangible interface low-cost", which was composed on purpose for the Festival, and which is dedicated to cinema and visual arts (May 9th at 9 pm); Michael Nyman will play the music he composed for movies, and show the works he has realised in the fields of photography and direction (May 10th at 9 pm).
